Let's Go Birding Together in Central Park (6/15) (Free)
Admission
- Free
Description
Celebrate Pride Month with NYC Bird Alliance (formerly NYC Audubon), the Feminist Bird Club, and NYC Queer Birders on our annual Let's Go Birding Together (aka "LGBT") bird outing in Central Park! This event welcomes members of the queer community and allies alike. Anyone who is interested in discovering and enjoying the birds of NYC, regardless of experience level, is encouraged to join!
We'll explore different spots around Central Park, including the Lake and Turtle Pond in search of songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, and whatever other surprises might show up to greet us. The group will meet at the park entrance on Central Park West and 77th Street.
Registration not required but encouraged. Free. No limit; feel free to bring friends!
Accessibility and Directions:
Central Park generally contains paved and unpaved paths of varying inclines, but we will stick to paths most comfortable for everyone. Various modes of public transportation are located nearby, including the 1, C, B, and D trains, and the M7, M10, and M11 buses.
