Central Park Birding with the Young Conservationists (9/10) (Free)
Admission
- Free
Description
Witness the beauty of fall migration with NYC Bird Alliance's (formerly NYC Audubon) Young Conservationists as birds follow the Atlantic Flyway northwards. Look for warblers, thrushes, and other migrants in the landscape of Central Park, and learn about the finer points of their identification and ecology.
The group will meet in front of the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center at the North End of the park. Registration not required but encouraged. No limit. Free.
In case you're wondering how to become a Young Conservationist, a donation of $25 will earn you a Young Conservationist level membership with NYC Bird Alliance. Young Conservationist is a membership level for nature lovers ages 18-35. Membership gives you discounts on most trips and classes and invitations to special YC member events, while also supporting NYC Bird Alliance's conservation, advocacy, and engagement efforts throughout the City's five boroughs.
Accessibility and Directions:
Central Park generally contains paved and unpaved paths of varying inclines, but we will stick to paths most comfortable for everyone.
