Description
Join NYC Bird Alliance (formerly NYC Audubon) Young Conservationist Council member, Ryan Mandelbaum, and visit the coastal woodlands, tidal channel, and one of the only freshwater ponds in Brooklyn. Expect to see herons, shorebirds, flycatchers, vireos, warblers, and sparrows. All birding levels welcome!
Meet at the Canarsie Park House at Seaview Avenue and East 88th Street. Registration not required but encouraged. No limit. Free.
In case you're wondering how to become a Young Conservationist, a donation of $25 will earn you a Young Conservationist level membership with NYC Bird Alliance. Young Conservationist is a membership level for nature lovers ages 18-35. Membership gives you discounts on most trips and classes and invitations to special YC member events, while also supporting NYC Bird Alliance's conservation, advocacy, and engagement efforts throughout the City's five boroughs.
