Birding by Ear Across the City with Tod Winston - Van Cortlandt Park (4/17)
Admission
- $28.00 - Member Admission
- $42.00 - General Admission
Description
Join NYC Bird Alliance's Tod Winston for an exploration of all of the chips, tweets, trills, and warbles heard in parks across New York City starting off with the Bronx's beautiful Van Cortlandt Park. This series is designed for those interested in identifying birds by sound, though we won’t pass up any non-singing birds along the way. We’ll discuss the meanings behind different songs and calls in a small group setting, increasing your ability to indentify birds solely by sound. All experience levels are welcome.
$28 for NYC Bird Alliance members, $42 for non-members. Limited to 12 people.
Interested in the other sessions of this series? Register for the following locations: Central Park - North Woods, Central Park - Ramble, Forest Park and Prospect Park.
Accessibility and Directions:
Restrooms are located at the Van Cortlandt Park Nature Center (the meeting point), and also right at the nearby entrance to the park from Broadway, just north of the 242 St 1 subway stop.
