Alley Pond Park is an ecological treasure. Containing both fresh and saltwater wetlands, forests, tidal flats, meadows, and glacier-formed landscape, this park supports a vast array of birds. Join Woo Sung Park for a evening walk through this Queen's gem!
The group will meet at the Alley Pond Park parking lot located at Springfield Boulevard and 76th Avenue. Registration not required but encouraged. No limit. Free.
Accessibility and Directions:
This park contains a mix of paved paths and uneven, unpaved surfaces on somewhat hilly terrain. Restrooms are available at Horatio Parkway and 50 Avenue, at the entrance off Grand Central Parkway (wheelchair-accessible), and at Springfield Boulevard, 73rd Avenue and 76th Avenue. Public transportation is accessible via the Q27 and Q28 buses. Free parking near Alley Pond Park is abundantly available on the surrounding streets. Within the park, you’ll find free street parking on the Alley Pond Park State Route on the Southwest side.
