Description

Come birding at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and hear directly from the NYC Bird Alliance's advocacy team as they share their work on local, state, and national initiatives aimed at protecting birds in NYC, particularly the Black-crowned Night Heron. Learn how we are driving change while spotting egrets, herons, gulls, and other waterfowl that call Jamaica Bay home.

Registration required. NYC Bird Alliance members only.

Accessibility and Directions:

Restrooms are available at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Please note that the A subway station is under construction; it's recommended to take the E train to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station. From there, transfer to the Q53 Select Bus Service heading south towards the Rockaways.
