Description

Join NYC Bird Alliance and the Queens County Bird Club for a Birdathon walk in memory of César Castillo. Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge was one of César’s favorite birding spots. Celebrate his passion for birds by spotting as many species as you can, honoring his legacy and love for birds. All are welcome to participate!

Funds raised through the Birdathon will support the NYC Bird Alliance's initiatives that César cared deeply about: public programs in his home county of Queens, specifically aimed at connecting underserved communities with nature. You can contribute by donating when you register.

Meet in front of the Refuge’s Visitor Center at 175-10 Cross Bay Boulevard.

Registration is optional, but strongly encouraged to help us plan.
