Description
Join NYC Bird Alliance, Greenbelt Conservancy, and Pride Center of Staten Island for a Let's Go Birding Together walk. Let’s Go Birding Together walks welcome the LGBTQ+ community, allies, families, and anyone looking for a fun, inclusive birding experience. Come explore the Greenbelt’s 2,800 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces—whether you’re an experienced birder or just curious, come meet others who share a love for birds and the outdoors. Don’t forget to bring your water, snack, sunscreen, and insect repellent—and dress appropriately for the outdoors!
The group will meet infront of the Greenbelt Nature Center (700 Rockland Ave, Staten Island, NY, 10314). Free.

The mission of the Greenbelt Conservancy is caring for the Greenbelt's parks and open space in Staten Island NY through education, conservation, research, and prudent recreation.
The Pride Center of Staten Island is here to enhance and sustain the well-being of the LGBTQIA+ and allied communities by providing programs and services that cultivate community; advocate for LGBTQIA+ interests; educate and empower, and provide social support.
Accessibility and Directions:
The S57 bus stops directly across the street at Rockland Ave near Brielle Ave. The Nature Center building and the walkways immediately in front are accessible. Please note that nearby trails feature uneven terrain, including tree roots and exposed rock, which may not be suitable for all mobility levels. Participants are encouraged to dress for hiking on rugged trails. Recommended attire includes long sleeves and pants, light-colored clothing, and closed-toed sneakers or boots.
