Description
Begin at the iconic Unisphere and explore the diverse bird species that call this vibrant Queens park home.
Accessibility is enhanced by birding guide and educator Alexandra Wang (Avian Alex), M.S. Ed., who offers augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) pamphlets, Braille pamphlets and plush birds for an inclusive birding tour. Further accommodations can be requested in advance by emailing Alex at alexmwang1992@gmail.com.
The group will meet at the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Registration not required but encouraged. No Limit. Free.
Accessibility and Directions
This part of the park offers mostly paved paths. The closest restrooms are found in the Passerelle Building across from outdoor Tennis Courts at Meridian Road. Other restrooms are available throughout the park. The nearby transit stop is at the Flushing–Main Street station along the 7 subway line.
