Description

Join us from September 21-28 for Climate Week NYC, where NYC Bird Alliance will host outings and green roof tours that will focus on the importance of biodiversity for a climate-resilient future. More than half of U.S. bird species are in decline, and climate change is a major threat.

This Climate Week, join bird guide and artist Sam Philbert for a field sketching workshop in Prospect Park! Learn tips to record and draw species in your environment to fill your own nature journal. Bring a drawing book or paper and something to write/draw to document your findings.

Registration required. Limited to 30. Free.

Accessibility and Directions:

Prospect Park trails are paved and mostly flat. Multiple restrooms can be found all across the park. There is no onsite parking. Various public transportation stop by the meeting point, including the B41 and B69 buses, as well as the B and Q lines. For more information on directions, visit the Prospect Park website.
