Description

Winter doesn’t mean the birding has to stop! Discover the birds that spend the colder months with us. Join Young Conservation Council member Ryan Mandelbaum this winter in a three part series: finches, gulls, and ducks.

This outing, we'll focus on the gulls of Coney Island. We'll look for distinct plumages of our three wintering gulls while also discussing how to spot some of our less common seasonal visitors.

The group will meet at the public restroom at the end of Stillwell Avenue.  Registration required.

Accessibility: Coney Island's wooden boardwalk is flat, but be prepared to step onto the beach itself. Dress warmly as we will be right on the boardwalk!

Directions: The D, F, N, and Q trains stop closest to the meeting location at the Coney Island-Stillwell Av stop.
