Description

Winter doesn’t mean the birding has to stop! Discover the birds that spend the colder months with us. Join Young Conservation Council member Ryan Mandelbaum this winter in a three part series: finches, gulls, and ducks.

This outing, we'll focus on the ducks found at Jamaica Bay. Winter is a great time to spot migrating ducks as they gather on the open water making it easy to spot!

The group will meet at outside the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Registration Required.

Accessibility: Restrooms are available at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.

Directions: The Visitor Center is a one-mile walk from the Broad Channel A subway station; it is also accessible via the Q21 and Q53 buses. Free parking is available in the Visitor Center lot. Visit the National Park Service website for the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for comprehensive directions by public transportation and car. Please check the MTA website for any service changes.
