Description

It's World Migratory Bird Day and we are highlighting the importance of community science to bird conservation.
Come discover this evolving green space and help observe which birds are using the habitat as we continue to expand the Queensway.The QueensWay is an intiative to transform the LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch that cuts through Forest Park into a new green space.
Registration not required but HIGHLY encouraged. No limit. Free. The group will be meeting at Stop and Shop on Union Turnpike (8989 Union Turnpike, Glendale, NY 11385) before walking through Forest Park.
Accessibility: This outing will follow both paved and unpaved paths and may include some steps and uneven terrain. A public restroom is available near the meeting spot.
Directions: The Q11 and Q21 buses stop right near to the Visitors Center at the Woodhaven Blvd/Forest Park Dr bus stop.
