Learn the essential skills for identifying the wide variety of birds that migrate through New York City each spring. Even if you've never picked up a pair of binoculars before, you'll soon be able to identify warblers, thrushes, waterbirds, and more—both by sight and by ear. This course includes three in-person sessions, along with birding outings in Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and Central Park, providing both practical experience and a deeper understanding of birding basics. Binoculars available upon request.

Our three in-person classes will take place in the NYC Bird Alliance office at 71 West 23rd Street.

$140 for NYC Bird Alliance members, $200 for non-members. Limited to 12 people.

If you’re interested in taking this course but are unable to meet the financial commitment, please email us at programs@nycbirdalliance.org. While space is limited, we’d love to have you join us.
