Description

Join NYC Bird Alliance and Hudson Guild for a morning of beginner-friendly birding to look and listen for birds! We'll slowly stroll through the Chelsea NYCHA complex and nearby parks, focusing on easy ways to notice birds around us. No experience necessary! Binoculars provided. Please note this outing is weather permitting.

Registration not required but encouraged. Free. The group will meet on the ground level of the Hudson Guild Older Adult Center (119 9th Ave, New York, NY, 10011).

NYCHA in Nature is a partnership program with NYC Bird Alliance and the Public Housing Community Fund to offer birding opportunities and exposure to nature for NYCHA residents and the general public. The program will explore the outdoor space within the NYCHA developments as well as nearby public green space.

Accessibility: We will travel on flat, paved paths throughout the event. Restrooms can be found at the meeting location.
