Join NYC Bird Alliance and the Queens County Bird Club for a Birdathon walk in memory of César Castillo. Kissena Park was one of César’s favorite birding spots. Celebrate his passion for birds by spotting as many species as you can, honoring his legacy and love for birds. All are welcome to participate!

Registration is optional, but strongly encouraged to help us plan. The group will meet in Kissena Park at the Kissena Velodrome parking lot at Booth Memorial Avenue and Parsons Boulevard.

Funds raised through the Birdathon will support efforts of engaging the Queens community in birding, specifically aimed at connecting underserved communities with nature. You can contribute by donating when you register.

Accessibility: Kissena Park contains paved paths, including bike lanes. Restrooms can be found near the northeast side of Kissena Lake.

Directions: By public transit, you can take the Q17, 25, 34, or 88 bus. To get to the meeting spot by car, take the Long Island Expressway to Kissena Boulevard exit, make a left on Kissena and a right on Booth Memorial.
