Description

Join NYC Bird Alliance for a morning of beginner-friendly birding to look and listen for birds! We'll slowly stroll from campus to the Central Park's Harlem Meer, focusing on easy ways to notice birds around us. No experience necessary! Binoculars provided. Please note this outing is weather permitting.

Registration not required but encouraged. Free. The group will meet at the PSS King Towers Center (50 Malcolm X Blvd, New York, NY 1002).

NYCHA in Nature is a partnership program with NYC Bird Alliance and the Public Housing Community Fund to offer birding opportunities and exposure to nature for NYCHA residents and the general public. The program will explore the outdoor space within the NYCHA developments as well as nearby public green space.

Accessibility: We will travel on flat, paved paths throughout the event. The group will move slowly down to the Harlem Meer, 1 ave block away.
