Description

Join NYC Bird Alliance for a morning of beginner-friendly birding to look and listen for birds! We'll meet infront of the center to begin and see what birds we notice around us before heading to boardwalk. No experience necessary! Binoculars provided. Please note this outing is weather permitting.

Registration not required but encouraged. Free. The group will meet at Coney Island Active Aging/NORC (2950 West 35TH St. Brooklyn NY 11224). Elevator in the lobby.

NYCHA in Nature is a partnership program with NYC Bird Alliance and the Public Housing Community Fund to offer birding opportunities and exposure to nature for NYCHA residents and the general public. The program will explore the outdoor space within the NYCHA developments as well as nearby public green space.

Accessibility: This outing will walk slowly from the center to the broadwalk (1 block away). We will move at the pace of the group.
