9th Annual Raptorama! at Jamaica Bay (9/27)

It's that time of the year again, join us at Raptorama! Meet at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center to learn all about the birds of prey of Jamaica Bay. See some amazing raptors up close during two live demonstrations led by the Wildlife Center of Long Island. Program includes outings lead by partner organizations and park rangers to look at the raptors that traveling through Jamaica Bay on their fall migration. Park partners and other organizations will have family-friendly activities available at tables outside of the visitor center. Check back for the full progam schedule!

This event is presented by the National Park Service at Gateway National Recreation Area with Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, American Littoral Society, NYC Bird Alliance, and the Wildlife Center of Long Island.

Accessibility: Restrooms are available at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.

Directions: The Visitor Center is a one-mile walk from the Broad Channel A subway station; it is also accessible via the Q21 and Q53 buses. Free parking is available in the Visitor Center lot.
