Fall Migration at Jamaica Bay with Tod Winston (9/4) (PAID)

Join NYC Bird Alliance's Tod Winston on an extended exploration of the expanse of Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge's West and East Ponds, looking for migrating wading birds, raptors, shorebirds, waterfowl, and warblers! Participants are encouraged to wear shoes that can get muddy as well pack lunch and insect repellant.

Registration required. NYC Bird Alliance Members $30, non-members $45. Limited to 15. 

Accessibility: This event involves 3-4 miles of walking, including navigating sometimes muddy areas. Restrooms are available at the meeting location (the visitor center restrooms do not normally open till 10am, but a port-a-potty should be available before then). 

Directions: The meeting location is a one-mile walk from the Broad Channel A subway station; it is also accessible via the Q21 and Q53 buses. Free parking is available.  Visit the National Park Service website for the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for comprehensive directions by public transportation and car.
